F.A.Q.

  • I would like to adopt a pet, what can I do?
    • You can easily adopt a dog or cat through our adoption page or through a charity in your area. Just search a search engine such as Google or Facebook for the one closest to you. If you can't find any you can contact us and we will help you find one near you.

  • Am I able to keep and manage a dog?
    • Generally, before each adoption, a volunteer will help you understand if you are ready or not to welcome a furry dog into life and will give you valuable advice on which type of pet is best suited to your home and lifestyle.

  • I often travel for work, can I keep an animal?
    • Sure, but a family member, friend or dog sitter needs to take care of him when you can't. Alternatively, you can go to a boarding house for animals.

  • What happens if I cannot keep my dog for serious reasons?
    • If for serious and proven health or economic reasons you will no longer be able to take care of your four-legged friend or keep him, do not worry and get in touch with the volunteers from whom you adopted him or with another association in your area. . They will surely be able to show you the best solution for you and your four-legged friend. In some cases they will help you find a refuge or a new family that can welcome him, or they can give you concrete help so that he can stay with you even in difficult times.

  • I live in an apartment and would like to adopt a dog, can I?
    • If you live in a small house with no garden, you can certainly adopt a dog, but remember that he will need to be taken out at least two / three times a day. If you are not sure that you can provide for his physiological needs every day, you can get help from a family member, a neighbor, a friend or a dog sitter. Many do this, and special bonds are often created between you and those who help you manage dog walks.

  • I live alone and often work all day but I would still like to adopt a dog, can I?
    • Sure, but if you're often away from home all day on business make sure your dog isn't alone all day. There can be many solutions: for example, try to go home during your lunch break to be in the company of your furry friend, or leave him with a family member or friend, or look for a dog sitter who can take care of him when you don't have enough time. If you have already had experience, you can also consider a combined adoption of two dogs that get along well with each other, so that they can keep company during working hours. But remember that they will still need to be taken for a walk morning, afternoon and evening for their physiological needs!

  • How much does it cost me to keep a dog? I can afford it?
    • Basic maintenance of a pet includes food, vaccines, and veterinary care. The food obviously depends on the tonnage and in general involves an expense of a few cents up to just over one euro per day. Some vaccines and pesticide treatments are annual and involve the cost of a few tens of euros up to a hundred in the worst case scenario. To these expenses are added those for accessories (leash, collar, harness, etc.) and veterinary expenses in case our four-legged has health problems. In principle, therefore, the maintenance of a dog is really within everyone's reach. And it is also important to underline that in the face of a truly negligible expense you will get in return an infinite love and gratitude from our furry friend.
