Who we are

Alfonso is a wonderful boy who for years has been dealing with finding a home for stray dogs and cats in the area of Gragnano, Salerno, Naples and around the beautiful Amalfi coast.

Alfonso collects reports of wandering animals, sick, in difficulty or considered dangerous and takes them to safe places, takes care of their care, sterilization and above all tries with all his energy to find them a family that loves them as they deserve.

Furthermore, through sharing on social networks, he guarantees a little visibility to the hundreds of animals housed in the sanitary kennels in his area. Very often, in fact, once the animal has been rescued and treated, it remains detained for years in unsuitable, crumbling structures, without the possibility of running and playing, sometimes in small cages together with dozens of other dogs, with the risk of getting sick and being forgotten forever inside what is in effect a prison.

Alfonso is not a wealthy benefactor, he is not funded by any public body and is not supported by any association. Alfonso is just a huge-hearted volunteer who doesn't resign himself to letting wonderful pets end their lives killed on the street or in a cage, and uses his time and resources to give a second life to these beautiful creatures.

Precisely to help him in his mission and ensure that more and more furry ones are saved from the street and come to find a family, many of those who have adopted a furry dog thanks to him or who have learned of his work have decided to support him in sharing adoption appeals and also economically.

Gli "Amici di Alfonso" is simply a small community of private citizens who love animals who do their utmost to ensure that more and more people can learn about the happy ending stories that Alfonso has managed to write over the years and help him in his work, even simply by sharing appeals on social networks.

The group of "Amici di Alfonso" has about fifty members and is always expanding thanks to new "adopters" who give a family to the dogs Alfonso recovered. You can read some of the happy ending stories on the Stories page.
